Stewardship Thought
A formula would really simplify things…How much is generous? What is permissible to spend on myself? How much should I give my children? Does God really ask me to give 10 percent to His church? While there really is a formula, 10 percent; there is an even better all inclusive answer: Ask God. Slow down long enough to listen to what He’s calling you to and inviting you to. And then, be willing to obey, no matter what. When you accept God’s challenge to give, you are beginning the journey that will help you to live a fully surrendered life to Christ. Surrender brings joy, peace and contentment, but it also a process of letting go more fully of your hopes and dreams, and instead, adopting God’s vision for your life. As you embrace for yourself all that God wants for your life, you experience ultimate fulfillment, meaning and purpose. When you live within His perfect will, all that God has entrusted to you begins to make sense.

Offering Envelopes

Beginning in January each Sunday School member and those who regularly attend worship services will be given a boxed set of offering envelopes. The individual envelopes are dated: January First Sunday, January Second Sunday and so on. Please use these envelopes for your weekly contributions unless you use the Online Giving Resource through our church website. As always, your giving is secure and confidential.

MOBILIZING TO BUILD
Growing Together- Building on Faith

Current Building Fund Total: $1,715,074.01

What is Mobilizing to Build?

Mobilizing to Build is a biblically based, spiritually charged, process designed to enable church members to give sacrificially for church building needs.

Why do we need a building campaign?
• Desire to pray for guidance and to follow God’s plan for Red Oak Baptist Church
• Need for Red Oak Baptist Church to reach out to non-believers and to grow believers in Christ’s love
• Need for a fellowship hall
• Need for more space for growing children/youth/adult programs
• Need for additional office space
• Desire for each member to grow spiritually through this campaign and to learn the value of sacrificial giving to God, not to Red Oak Baptist Church

Who are our team leaders?
• Follow-up Team – Melinda Griffin
• Campaign Leaders – Roger & Claudette Reges

Making a Commitment
• The campaign emphasizes making a spiritual commitment and praying.
• All commitments are strictly confidential.
• Commitments may be changed as needed over the 3-year period.
• Not Equal Gifts, But Equal Sacrifice

All Gifts are Important!
